What a start to the Eastern Comference Finals! Wait, is it Final, or Finals? Does it matter? Anyway, for those who did not watch the Celtics steal game 1 at home, I’ll summarize it for you. Twenty-two turnovers throughout the game, and five of those came in the last few minutes, after leading by 3 with 30-seconds left in regulation. The Pacers crumbled quicker than a chocolate-chip cookie in 2% milk. After battling back from two 10+ point deficits in the second half, the Pacers couldn’t hold on to take game 1 last night. Which is why I consider the Celtics winning last night a steal. Oh, and by the way, the over hit! ($$$)
Now, to answer the question from yesterday. I mentioned in the post that history was made Sunday with the Pacers and Timberwolves winning game 7’s on the same day, on the opponents home court. That was the first time in NBA history that this happened! Meaning, the NBA was not the correct answer. This feat also never happened in the MLB, which means, the NHL is the answer!! Heck, it’s happened multiple times in the NHL, with the most recent being last year.
Alright, as my friend Nick says after he wins in any competition these days, “what does the barber say” (next!). Let’s get into todays trivia question. With the NHL conference Final/Finals (still unsure) starting tonight, it only makes sense to focus our next question on Hockey. I’ll admit, I am not the biggest Hockey guy. My only real memories of the sport are watching my friends fight our rival team in roller hockey. *Shoutout to Nick and Chris for holding it down*
Wayne Gretzky aka the Hockey G.O.A.T. Has the most playoff goals, assists, and total points, but, he soes not hold the top spot for most postseason games played. Which leads me to my next question…
What NHL player holds the record for most postseason games played at 266?
- Nicklas Lidstrom
- Mark Messier
- Claude Lemieux
- Chris Chelios
